Ron,

I did some research on the Internet regarding 1080i and 1080p. From what I learned, unless you are looking at a CRT monitor, what you are likely viewing is 1080p (as in progressive scan like a LCD or Plasma HDTV). 1080i is the old way. 1080p is the new way.
